VINNIE MILLER MAKING HIS FIRST “NASCAR GOES WEST” TRIP

VINNIE MILLER MAKING HIS FIRST “NASCAR GOES WEST” TRIP

Gaffney, S.C. (March 1, 2018) – The next three weeks will have a lot of firsts for rookie driver Vinnie Miller as he prepares for his first “West Coast Swing” (the name given to the back-to-back Las Vegas, Phoenix, and California race weekends) in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The Boyd Gaming 300 race weekend will be Miller’s first time racing Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS), and his first time visiting Las Vegas, N.V.

JAS Expedited Trucking will once again be on board Miller’s No. 01 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro for Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300.

“I am excited about going to Las Vegas Motor Speedway,” said Miller. “I like tri-oval, half-mile race tracks. They seem to fit my driving style the best, and they are very competitive. I’ve heard the track is really fast, but it will have more grip than Atlanta (Motor Speedway), and hopefully, be a little easier to tame.  I’m hoping I will be able to bring home a better finish for JAS Expedited Trucking and JD Motorsports with Gary Keller. Atlanta was a tough one, but I’m ready to roll on to Las Vegas. I am looking forward to the West Coast Swing.  I’ve never been to Las Vegas, Phoenix or California, so it should be a lot of fun in-between the races.”

NASCAR Xfinity Series practice is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. and 2:05 p.m. (PST) Friday. Qualifying will start at 10:10 a.m. (PST) on Saturday, and the Boyd Gaming 300 will get the green flag at 1:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. ET) on FS1.

This will be Mills’ first time racing LVMS in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, but he has some experience running there last year in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend,” said Mills. “LVMS is one of the few tracks that I'll race this year where I have some experience, having been there last year in the Truck Series, so I’m very prepared for this weekend and hoping for a great, clean finish.”

(4:00 p.m. ET) on FS1.

ROSS CHASTAIN FINISHES 16TH IN THE RINNAI 250

ROSS CHASTAIN FINISHES 16TH IN THE RINNAI 250

GAFFNEY, S.C. (February 26, 2018) – Ross Chastain and team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller had a solid day at Atlanta Motor Speedway, bringing the No. 4 Flex Seal Chevrolet Camaro home in the 16th position in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Rinnai 250.

Chastain made the second round of Rinnai 250 qualifying and started the race 24th.

“Our Flex Seal Chevy ran really well today,” said Chastain. “This is definitely a step forward for the No. 4 team here at Atlanta where I’ve struggled in the past. The car was back and forth between loose and tight, but each change that the crew made helped. This is a good start to the year for our mile-and-a-half program.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 3rd, 2018.

GARRETT SMITHLEY FINISHES TOP 25 AT HIS HOME TRACK

GARRETT SMITHLEY FINISHES TOP 25 AT HIS HOME TRACK

GAFFNEY, S.C. (February 26, 2018) – Garrett Smithley, racing at his home track of Atlanta Motor Speedway, had to overcome a few challenges to finish in the top 25 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Rinnai 250.

Cellairis, a leading global device repair and accessory company based in Atlanta, came on board as the primary sponsor on Smithley’s No. 15 JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Chevrolet Camaro.

“It’s always fun to come back to my home track,” said Smithley. “We had some issues with the car on Friday, so we only had two runs in practice. It was really tough to start the race with limited practice, so we used the first stage and a half of the race to really get the car where we wanted it. With everything we were up against, we’re pretty happy with a top 25, and it gives us some momentum going into Vegas. I can’t say enough about my sponsors Superior Essex and Cellairis. They are such great groups of people. It means a lot to have two Atlanta-based companies on board for my home-town race, and I’m hoping we can do more together in the future.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 3rd, 2018.

ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR VINNIE MILLER

ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR VINNIE MILLER

GAFFNEY, S.C. (February 26, 2018) – Rookie driver Vinnie Miller, driving the No. 01 JAS Expedited Trucking Chevrolet Camaro, came home in the 31stposition in Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS).

In his first ever race at AMS, Miller qualified 39th but was able to race as high as the top 20 during the Rinnai 250.

“I can’t thank JAS Expedited Trucking enough for coming on board with this JD Motorsports with Gary Keller team,” said Miller. “Atlanta is definitely a tough track where tires were an issue. We didn’t qualify where we had hoped, but we were able to advance to the top-20 in the first stage but had some issues on pit strategy and cautions that put us in the 31st place for the finish. The guys on the No. 01 team never gave up and I know we will have a strong car in Las Vegas. I just need to continue to learn and grow each week.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 3rd, 2018.

GAFFNEY, S.C. (February 26, 2018) – Matt Mills, in his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race of 2018, finished in 36th place in the Rinnai 250 driving the No. 0 Flex Glue Chevrolet Camaro for team JD Motorsports with Gary Keller.

Despite having never raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Mills was running well before having to make unscheduled pit stops for a shredded tire.

“It was great to be back in a NASCAR Xfinity Series racecar,” said Mills. “I came into Atlanta without much mile-and-a-half experience, but my No. 0 team and my teammates helped me out a ton. We were going to have a pretty decent finish, but one of my tires shredded right at the end of the race. Luckily, the car wasn’t damaged, so we were able to finish. I can’t thank Flex Glue and JF Electric enough for supporting me this weekend.”

Next up for the NASCAR Xfinity Series is the Boyd Gaming 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 3rd, 2018.

VINNIE MILLER ‘TRUCKING’ ON TO ATLANTA

Gaffney, S.C. (February 22, 2018) – Coming off of his impressive top-20 finish in the season-opening race at Daytona, Vinnie Miller is excited to race his No. 01 JAS Expedited Trucking Chevrolet Camaro at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). Saturday’s Rinnai 250 will be the first of many races in the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season in which the JD Motorsports with Gary Keller No. 01 will be sporting the JAS Expedited Trucking red, white, and blue paint scheme.

This will be Miller’s first time racing AMS, but he hopes that momentum from his Daytona finish and help from his teammates will lead to a successful weekend.

“I’m really excited to race in the Xfinity Series at Atlanta this weekend,” said Miller. “It will be the first race with our sponsor JAS Expedited Trucking, and I am looking forward to driving the red, white, and blue JD Motorsports with Gary Keller Camaro!  From what I’ve heard, Atlanta is a tough track and definitely a ‘Drivers’ track.  I understand that saving my Goodyear tires will be bonus at the end of the race. I learned a ton from my teammates last weekend in Daytona, and honestly, I’ll be leaning on them a lot this weekend.”

NASCAR Xfinity Series practice is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. (ET) Friday. Qualifying will start at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, and the Rinnai 250 will get the green flag at 2:00 p.m. (ET) on FS1.

Gaffney, S.C. (February 22, 2018) – After a stellar top-five weekend in Daytona, Garrett Smithley is more excited than ever to return to his home state of Georgia for the Rinnai 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS).
