4th Italian F3 Event raced at Mugello circuit

The last weekend Team JD Motorsport and its F3 Drivers raced at Mugello circuit for the 4th Italian F3 Championship Event.
It has been a very hot weekend with a track temperature around 45°C.
In the Free Practice sessions the best results were the 7th fastest time for the Swiss Drivers, Christopher Zanella, and the 15th time for Kevin Giovesi; in the Qualifying session they stopped the chronometer with the 11th place on the starting grid for Zanella and the 16th for Giovesi.
During races a 12th and 14th positions for Giovesi which keep the leadership in the rookies standing.
Zanella won some good positions at the starts in both races, two in the first and three in the second race, and he finished 9th in Race 1 and he got a very good 5th position (he started 11th) under the chequered flag in Race 2 after an excellent double overtaking procedure (!) getting important points for the Championship, where exactly in the middle he is 5th in the Drivers Standing.

 Next round in the end of August (28th-29th August 2010), at Varano de’ Melegari with both the JD Italian Series, Formula 3 and Formula Abarth. 

Disputato al Mugello il 4° Evento della F3 Italia

Il Team JD Motorsport durante lo scorso weekend ha gareggiato sul circuito del Mugello per la quarta prova del Campionato Italiano
Formula 3.
In un weekend molto caldo dove l’asfalto ha superato i 45°C, durante le prove libere del venerdì il miglior crono registrato dal pilota svizzero Christopher Zanella è stato il 7°, mentre per l’italiano Kevin Giovesi è stato il 15°; in qualifica, poi, Zanella ha fermato i cronometri con l’11° miglior tempo e Giovesi con il 16°.
In gara Giovesi ha colto il 12° ed il 14° posto, rispettivamente in Gara 1 ed in Gara 2, utili per mantenere il primato nella classifica esordienti.
Zanella, invece, è riuscito a guadagnare un paio di posizioni in entrambe le partenze con ottimi spunti allo start, terminando poi 9° in Gara 1 e, dopo aver compiuto un eccellente doppio sorpasso in Gara 2 (!), ha tagliato il traguardo in 5° posizione, ottenendo punti importanti in chiave campionato, dove, al giro di boa, occupa la 5° posizione in classifica generale piloti.

Prossimo appuntamento a fine agosto (28-29 agosto 2010) a Varano de’ Melegari per entrambe le categorie nazionali in cui è impegnato il Team JD, Formula 3 e Formula Abarth.

Marciello (1st) and Guerin (3rd) led the Team JD Motorsport colors on the Spa Podium

Great weekend for the Team JD Motorsport in the Spa-Francorchaps circuit, Belgium, where the only one International Formula Abarth race by Tatuus has been driven.
After free practice sessions on Friday, useful to drivers to learning the track, the JD Brazilian Driver, Victor Guerin, had a difficult Qualifying Session, where he could get only the 11th time due to a technical problem to a steering rack on its car. In spite of this problem he was able in closing the gap winning a lot of positions during Race 1 and he crossed the line in 5th place. Better than this he did in the Race 2 getting the 3rd step of the Podium.
For the other JD driver, the Italian Raffaele Marciello, the Qualifying Session was better than his team mate, getting the 4th time, but than he was unlucky in Race 1, when he had to go out of the track to avoid a contact with another car and than entry on track 12th: he has been able than in winning some positions closing in the 6th position. Very strong Marciello in Race 2, too, when he overtook a lot of drivers winning a great race in one of the best circuit in the World.

In add to the brilliant results got, it has been a very good experience for so young driver’s careers on a so important International circuit as Spa is.

Drivers on track again the next weekend (2nd-3rd-4th July 2010) in another important and international circuit as Imola, for the 3rd Event of the Formula Abarth and Formula 3 Italian Championships.

Bel weekend per il colori del Team JD Motorsport sul circuito di Spa-Francorchamps, in Belgio, dove si è disputata l’unica gara internazionale, extra campionato, della Formula Abarth, targata Tatuus.
Dopo i turni di prove libere del venerdì, serviti ai piloti per conoscere il circuito, il pilota brasiliano della JD, Victor Guerin, è stato protagonista di una difficile sessione di Qualifica, in cui, a causa di un problema tecnico al braccetto dello sterzo, ha concluso solo 11°. Nonostante ciò, in Gara 1 è stato abile a recuperare molte posizioni tagliando il traguardo al 5° posto. Ancor meglio è riuscito a fare in Gara 2 ottenendo questa volta il 3° gradino del podio.
Per l’altro pilota della JD, l’italiano Raffaele Marciello, la sessione di Qualifica è stata migliore rispetto a Victor, ottenendo il 4° tempo, ma è tato invece sfortunato in Gara 1 quando, per evitare il contatto con un’altra vettura è costretto ad uscir di pista e rientrare ritrovandosi in 12° posizione: è poi baravo a recuperare terminando 6°. Ottimo Marciello, invece, in Gara 2, quando sorpasso su sorpasso, va a conquistare una gran bella vittoria su uno dei circuiti più belli al Mondo.

Oltre agli ottimi risultati ottenuti, quella belga è stata sicuramente un’esperienza positiva ed importante per la carriera di piloti così giovani su un circuito di importanza internazionale assoluta.

Piloti in pista ancora il prossimo weekend (2-3-4 luglio 2010) su un altro circuito di grande valenza internazionale come l’autodromo di Imola, per il 3° Evento valido per i campionati italiani Formula Abarth e Formula 3.

Team JD Motorsport still on the Podium with Marciello and Guerin 

 Team JD Motorsport got its best season’s result during the 2nd Formula Abarth Event in Magione, the last 6th June, getting a good 2nd place for the Championship in Race1 with Marciello (then unlucky in Race2 when he finished immediately during the first lap its race due to a race contact) and winning Race2 with Guerin, who had a very strong race leading it since the start (he was 5th in Race1, too).

About the 2nd Formula 3 Event, raced in Hockenheim (Germany) the last 13th June, the young Italian Driver, Kevin Giovesi, 2009 Champion in the Formula Lista Championship, had his first race weekend with the Team. Both the Vespolate Team Drivers paida lot a Qualifying Session not so brilliant due to the difficult track conditions because of the heavy rain, so that they didn’t get more than the 11th time (Zanella) and the 15th time (Giovesi). In spite of this they were able to race well enough for improving their position under the chequered flag in both races so that Zanella finished 7th (Race1) and 5th (Race2) and Giovesi finished 10th (Race1) and 8th (Race2).

Gap in the Standings is still unchanged for Marciello which is leading with 11 points more than the second, and for Zanella which has still 6 points from the leader. Guerin and Giovesi are in the 7th and 11th place, with the Italian Driver leader in the Rookies Standing.

 The only one International Formula Abarth Event, extra championship, will be race the next 25-26-27 June 2010 in Spa (Belgium) and after this the two National Series will meet again for the 3rd Event in the Imola International track the next 2-3-4 July 2010.

Team JD Motorsport ancora a podio con Marciello e Guerin

Il Team JD Motorsport ha colto il suo miglior risultato stagionale nel secondo appuntamento di Formula Abarth, tenutosi a Magione lo scorso 6 giugno, ottenendo un buon 2° posto, in ottica campionato, in Gara1 con Marciello (poi sfortunato in Gara2 dove già nel primo giro è finito fuori dai giochi per un contatto di gara) ed andando a vincere Gara2 con Guerin, autore di un’ottima gara condotta in testa fin dalla partenza (5° in rimonta in Gara1 il giorno prima).

Per quanto riguarda, invece, il secondo appuntamento del campionato italiano Formula 3, in programma ad Hockenheim (Germania) lo scorso 13 giugno, ha fatto il suo esordio con il Team di Vespolate il giovane pilota italiano Kevin Giovesi, campione 2009 del campionato Formula Lista. Entrambi i piloti del Team JD, però, hanno pagato a caro prezzo una sessione di Qualifica non particolarmente brillante dove, con la pista in condizioni difficili a causa dell’abbondante pioggia, non sono riusciti ad andare oltre l’11° tempo (Zanella) ed il 15° tempo (Giovesi). Nonostante questo, in gara entrambi sono stati poi molto bravi a recuperare posizioni ottenendo rispettivamente un 7° ed un 10° posto in Gara1 ed un 5° e 8° posto in Gara2.

Distacchi invariati nelle rispettive classifiche per Marciello, che conduce sempre a +11 punti sul secondo, e per Zanella che si trova ancora a -6 punti dal leader del campionato. Guerin e Giovesi si trovano, invece, rispettivamente al 7° ed 11° posto con il pilota italiano, però, leader nella classifica esordienti della F3 italiana.

Andrà ora in scena, solo per la Formula Abarth, l’unica gara internazionale, extra campionato, prevista per quest’anno a Spa (Belgio) il 25-26-27 giugno 2010, mentre entrambe le Serie si ritroveranno per il terzo appuntamento ufficiale di campionato i prossimi 2-3-4 luglio 2010 sull’autodromo internazionale di Imola.

Immediately Pole Position and Podium for Team JD Motorsport 

Team JD Motorsport has officially started the 2010 Season with the first race weekend raced the last 25th April in Misano.
New Challenges and new Drivers for the Vespolate’s Team which has a Mygale car in the Italian Formula 3 Championship, driven by the Swiss Driver, Christopher Zanella, and two cars in the Italian ACI-CSAI Formula Abarth Championship, driven by the  Italian Driver, Raffaele Marciello, and the Brazilian Driver, Victor Guerin.
So, a lot of news but not in terms of results where the Team JD Motorsport confirm itself one more time at the top level, getting the Pole Position with Zanella and the 2nd place in the starting grid with Marciello.
About Formula 3 races excellent 2nd place in Race 1 and 5th in Race 2, while about Formula Abarth great and unbelievable overtaking in the last corner for Marciello thanks to he got the winning in Race 1, in addition to the 3rd place on the Podium in Race 2; unlucky weekend instead for Guering which, due to a mistake during Qualifying, too, in very difficult rain conditions, he couldn’t get any points finishing 13th  in Race 1 and 6th (than he has been penalized with 25’’ more) in Race 2.
All Team JD Motorsport is very happy for the important results they have immediately get in the first Season race weekend in both the National Series.
Next race for the Formula 3 will be the 13th June in Hockenheim (the only one European race) and the 6th June for the Formula Abarth in Magione.

Subito Pole Position e Podio per il Team JD Motorsport

Il Team JD Motorsport ha ufficialmente iniziato la stagione 2010 con il primo weekend di gare, svoltosi a Misano lo scorso 25 aprile.
Nuove categorie e nuovi piloti per il Team di Vespolate che schiera una vettura Mygale nel Campionato Italiano Formula 3, affidata allo svizzero Christopher Zanella, e due vetture nel Campionato Italiano ACI-CSAI Formula Abarth, pilotate dall’italiano Raffaele Marciello e dal brasiliano Victor Guerin.
Molte le novità quindi, ma non in termini di risultati dove la JD Motorsport si conferma ancora una volta ai vertici conquistando la Pole Position con Zanella ed il secondo posto in griglia con Marciello.
Per quanto riguarda le gare di Formula 3 ottimo 2° posto in gara 1 e 5° in gara 2, mentre in Formula Abarth eccezionale sorpasso all’ultima curva di Marciello, che gli vale la vittoria in gara 1, oltre al 3° posto che ha conquistato poi in gara 2; più sfortunato, invece, il weekend di Guerin che, complice un errore nelle prove ufficiali in condizioni difficili di pioggia, non è poi riuscito a conquistare punti terminando 13° in gara 1 e 6° (ma poi penalizzato di 25’’) in gara 2.
Molto contento tutto il Team JD Motorsport che ha ottenuto subito risultati importanti nel weekend d’esordio di entrambe le categorie nazionali.
Prossimo appuntamento per la Formula 3 il 13 giugno ad Hockenheim (unica trasferta estera per la serie tricolore) ed il 6 giugno per la Formula Abarth a Magione.

Team JD Motorsport, of Cavallari and Cappelletti, announces the agreements signed with Raffaele Marciello (1994) and with Victor Guerin (1992).
Raffaele, Swiss, and Victor, Brazilian, both with Italian origins, will race for JD Motorsport during the seven race weekends in the Italian Formula Abarth Championship.

JD MOTORSPORT’S 2010 SPORTING PROGRAMS

The Team JD Motorsport, after have won 7 Driver Titles and 10 Team Titles in 14 years of European Championships (Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula Master), formalizes its entry in the next 2010 Italian Formula 3 Championship, with two Mygale single seater.
The JD Motorsport’s Sporting Program, in add to the F3 program, will has the taking part to the new Formula Abarth Championship, too, with two Tatuus cars; it will be oriented to younger drivers and it will be supported by FIAT FPT group as sole engine supplier, like the Italian F3.

Team Principal, Roberto Cavallari, said:
“The decision to entry in these two National Championships represents for us a new exciting challenge that we will deal one more time with the high professionalism we had for 14 racing years.
About the F.Abarth program, a consolidated collaboration, after years of victories,  will go on with the Italian cars manufacturer, Tatuus.
About the car to use in the F3 program a new collaboration will start for JD Motorsport, because our choice has been for Mygale: the French manufacturer got very good results in the 2009, in its first year in the Italian F3 and in spite of this we are thinking the car has a very high development potential, yet. Besides the very good Mygale technical structure, based in Magny Cours, has proving a lot of availability and interest in working closely and seriously to get important results.     
At the moment we are working hard to put on track the F3-M10 car within the end of December, in a Spanish circuit”.

PROGRAMMA SPORTIVO 2010 JD MOTORSPORT

Il Team JD Motorsport, dopo aver vinto 7 campionati piloti e 10 titoli di “miglior Team” in 14  anni di partecipazione a prestigiosi campionati europei (Formula Renault 2.0 e Formula Master), ufficializza, ora, l’ingresso nel campionato italiano di Formula 3 per la prossima stagione 2010, schierando due monoposto Mygale.
Il programma del Team di Vespolate vedrà, affiancato al progetto F3, la partecipazione, con due monoposto Tatuus, anche al nuovo campionato Formula Abarth, rivolto ai piloti più giovani, sempre a livello nazionale, anch’esso sostenuto, come la F3, dal gruppo FIAT FPT che sarà fornitore unico per quanto riguarda i motori.

Team Principal, Roberto Cavallari, ha dichiarato:
“La decisione di abbracciare i progetti di questi due campionati nazionali rappresenta per noi una nuova entusiasmante sfida che affronteremo, ancora una volta, con l’alta professionalità che ci ha contraddistinto  in ben 14 anni di corse.
Per quanto riguarda il progetto F.Abarth, continua un rapporto consolidato, in anni di successi, con il costruttore italiano Tatuus.
Per quanto riguarda la vettura da utilizzare nel progetto F3 inizia una nuova collaborazione per JD Motorsport, visto che la nostra scelta è stata a favore di Mygale: il costruttore francese ha ottenuto ottimi risultati nel 2009, al suo primo anno di partecipazione nella serie tricolore, e nonostante ciò, riteniamo che la vettura abbia un ampio margine di sviluppo. In più l’ottima struttura tecnica di Mygale, con sede a Magny Cours, ha dimostrato grande disponibilità ed interesse a lavorare seriamente per ottenere risultati importanti.
A oggi stiamo lavorando sodo con l’intenzione di portare in pista la vettura F3-M10, entro fine mese, su un tracciato in Spagna”.
